Mixed Media Paintings and Hand Fabricated Sterling Silver Jewelry

Liz Ellingson is delighted to be able to show both of her artistic endeavors at Ashland Art Works: hand fabricated, sterling silver jewelry and mixed media paintings.
Liz’s jewelry is crafted with care and attention to detail, each piece is unique. She uses traditional silver-smithing techniques to hand fabricate her sterling silver jewelry. Most of her designs feature her own custom cut stones. Liz takes interesting, rough material and creates unique cabochons, resulting in pieces with an earthy, enduring quality. Every item she makes is one-of-a-kind, designed to be cherished for years to come.
In addition to her sterling silver jewelry, Liz has now branched out into mixed media painting. Always creating something, she has reached back into her past, and reclaimed her love of painting and collage.
This was just a creative outlet on the weekends, but has turned into something more intentional. Liz started painting as a kid in grade school, taking lessons in middle and high school, and starting out as an art/music major in college. She uses acrylic paint, in addition to collage materials she creates mostly from scratch. (Rather than using magazine clippings.)
She’s excited to continue with Ashland Art Works showing this new art work!
