FEATURED ARTISTS

CONNIE SIMONSEN

Hand Painted Silk Scarves

I love the joy of creating on luscious silk, fueled by nature which gives me inspiration such as: using imagery from things I see in an abstract way. One of my latest creations, “Coronal Mass Ejection” is due to the recent phenomenon (Northern Lights) we just experienced. It brought energy to my work.

I manipulate the dyes using different techniques. The resulting shapes and vibrant complementary colors allow me to follow my muse. The culmination is mainly abstract images of flora, leaves, ocean waves, and more.

“Current Work / Images from  Near & Far”

This show will consist of new work created in Talent, Costa Rica and Ho Chi Minh City.

After being Valley-bound for too long, I needed to get something fresh in front of my lens.

Multiple techniques and multiple locations provided the stimulus for me and hopefully, for you too.

COMMUNITY ART SPACE

Shanna Rose – Eco Prints

“Wear the Forest- Botanical prints on Silk”

Botanical or Eco-Prints, are the alchemy of plants, metals, fibers and heat, producing detailed prints of leaves and flowers. Fabrics are then made into stunning pieces of wearable/wall art.
